The Impact of COVID-19 on Alberta’s Non-Profits and Voluntary Organizations

The challenge related to COVID-19 for Alberta-based organizations continues to grow. Government, organizations, and funders need information about the impacts the pandemic has on non-profits and what is most needed at this time.

The Alberta Nonprofit Network (ABNN) conducted a broad impact survey between March 30 and April 5, 2020 to learn about the current and potential impacts and needs of the non-profit sector. Over 450 leaders in the non-profit sector responded to the survey.

In this report you will find:

  • What nonprofit organizations are experiencing during the pandemic.
  • How they have responded to the pandemic and its challenges.
  • Advice on the next steps for nonprofits and volunteer organizations.
